Gerry Ouellette

Gerry has been an integral part of Red River Valley Baseball for the past 30 years. He began as a player in Narol, Manitoba and continued playing in Winnipeg with the Elmwood Giants in the 1980's. He was a quality player for the Kildonan Mudcats Senior Team for 10 years in the 1990's. He was the Head Coach of the Elmwood Giants and Red River Pioneers AAA Program for almost 10 years starting in the early 1990's. He was known to have some of the best structured practices in Manitoba and the ability to gain rapport with players and co-coaches alike. Gerry also coached one of the first ever Female Provincial Teams in 2004 and again in 2007. He has served in roles such as; Baseball Canada Learning Facilitator, Chairperson of the Winnipeg Community Sport Alliance and Baseball Manitoba's Vice President of Grassroots. Recently, Gerry has been instrumental in restructuring Red River Valley Baseball Association as he took on the role of Vice President in 2017. Player, coach, administrator and a gentleman, he is very deserving of this award.
